I grew up as part of an Air Force family and also retired from the Air Force. I discovered my creative side later in life and have enjoyed the journey. I always enjoyed working with my hands but never really had the time to delve too deeply into those pursuits until I retired. I took a stained glass class in the mid 1990's and was hooked! My creative glass world expanded considerably within a few years when I took my first fusing class. Over the years I grew as an artist thru many advanced courses and the mentorship and friendship of my dear friends Carolyn O'Brien and Diane Cabe. My husband and I decided to retire to San Antonio, Texas in 2009 and I now have my own studio solely dedicated to my glass art work.
I have studied under many incredible artists including; Judtih Conway and Kevin O'Toole from Vitrum Studios; Nancy Weisser from Weisser Glass Studio; Bonnie Celeste from Bullseye Glass; Diane Cooper Cabe from The Art Glass Center at Glen Echo; Richard Parrish; Johnathon Schmuck; Milon Townsend; Elizabeth Ryland Mears and Susan Abbott.
